The Savola Group is now one of the Kingdom's leading industrial companies. The Group actively works toward enhancing and widening its Corporate Citizenship role based on its «Balanced Way» corporate culture. Part of the «Balanced Way» is Savola’s commitment to the “taqwa” value which includes the Group’s responsibility to the community at large. Savola takes an active role in social, environmental, and community concerns. The Group engages in activities that serve the community such as Saudization, education funding and empowering women.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and its commitment to the community, The Savola Group introduced Service Learning as part of its effort to support the community.
Currently, The Savola Group partnered with the King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) Women's Division in a joint partnership program. The program aims to build bridges between Savola, KAU and the community.
Among the program's initiatives are the Web Development project and the Dental Mobile Clinic. In the Web Development project , students registered in the Web Development course in the Computer Science Department compete in groups to build Web Sites that serve the community. In the Mobile Dental Clinic project, dental students serve rural areas and less-fortunate patients by paying them visits and treating them off-site using the Mobile Dental Clinic.
The Savola Group plans to expand its program to include more activities, to partner with other educational institutions and to serve more parts of the community.
