Program Selection Process

The Savola Group adopts a four-stage selection process for its programs to ensure that these programs are in sync with the Group's Savola Bridges mission. The selection process is based on the following stages:

Platform Alignment
The first step in the selection process represents a prequalification process. This means that any Savola Bridges programs must conform to either innovation and or self help. Any program that does not conform to either innovation or self help will be immediately disqualified. A series of characteristics have been added to help with the prequalification process:

Meeting Initiative Objectives
The second step in the selection process ensures satisfying each of the initiative’s objectives as prescribed in each bridge’s initiative model

Scaling Process
In the third step, the target program is placed in a grid comprising 8 key elements in the form of questions. The answers are evaluated according to a point system. A scoring system is also included to determine the viability of the target program.

Prioritization Process
In the fourth and final stage, all selected programs undergo a final selection process, where target programs are prioritized based on the initiative they represent. The objective is to spread out the programs to cover as many Savola initiatives as possible. The selected programs are then placed in program activation timeline.

Final Decision:
  5 >> Excellent – Highly Recommended, Do not miss this opportunity (35- 40)
  4 >> Very Good – Recommended, Explore it very seriously (30 - 34)
  3 >> Good – Worth considering (25 - 29)
  2 >> Poor – Does not fit in with The Group’s CSR mission. (20 - 24)
  1 >> Rejected – No value in getting involved in program (19 - 23)
